Salaam,
vielleicht könnt ihr mir helfen. Ich suche nach einer Erklärung für die Bedeutung dieser beiden Verse:

Yusuf Ali:
"'And Allah has made the earth for you as a carpet (spread out), that ye may go about therein, in spacious roads.'" (71:19-20)

Ich habe schon lange nach Tafsir hierzu gesucht aber nichts gefunden. Ich denke nicht, dass damit gemeint ist dass die Erde flach ist was ja auch Schwachsinn ist, aber was ist dann damit gemeint? Hat jemand von euch eine Idee?

In einem Vortrag habe ich mal was dazu gehört.

Wenn du dir ansieht wie die Welt aufgebaut ist siehst du das der Kern der Erde flüssig ist. Die Erde besteht im grunde aus Magma, also flüssigem Feuer das mit fester Erde umschlossen ist. Die Erdkruste ist wie ein Teppich auf dem Feuer und zwischen den Wassern ausbereitet worden und ermöglicht uns so das Leben auf unserem Planeten.

Wa aleikum al-Salam

Damit ist nicht gemeint, dass die Erde flach ist. Hier schau mal was im Tafsir von ibn Kathir dazu steht:

Zu Vers 19:

"And Allah has made for you the earth a wide expanse."

meaning, He spread it out, leveled it, settled it,
and stabilized it with
firm and lofty mountains.

Und zu Vers 20:

"That you may go about therein in broad roads."

meaning, He created it so that you may settle in it and travel in it wherever you wish, from its different sides, areas and regions. All of this is from what Nuh informed them of concerning Allah's power and His greatness in creating the heavens and the earth. It demonstrates the favor that He did for them by making both heavenly benefits and earthly benefits. For He is the Creator and the Sustainer Who made the heaven as a building and the earth as a bed, and He enlarged His provisions for His creatures. Therefore, He is the One Who it is obligatory to worship, and accept as One God. No one should be associated with Him as a partner, because He has no equal, peer, rival, coequal, mate, son, minister or advisor, rather He is the Most High, the Most Great.
